Postcard Marketing for Power Washing

Posted: September 13th, 2011 | Author: | Filed under: postcard marketing | Tags: | Comments Off

We were approached by a small business start-up to get some sales leads for there power washing company. There budget was typical for start-ups small but we knew by using direct targeting mail list they will have an upper hand and quality leads available for a postcard marketing campaign. After mailing the postcard marketing campaign they will follow up with a phone call for a better ROI.

Don’t give up on a postcard marketing campaign it might be your secret weapon over your competition.

Retargeting Marketing Is Awesome and Under Used

Posted: July 21st, 2011 | Author: | Filed under: advertising, internet marketing, marketing | Tags: , , | Comments Off

If you are just using pay per click advertising for your marketing efforts than you are not fully utilizing your internet marketing strategies. You know as well as we do that when a prospect visitor uses the internet to browse through 100′s of compelling ads and clicks 10 ads to do research.

Now that prospect is on your website browsed a couple of pages than exits or worse jumps on the landing page and jumps off to add to your ridiculously high bounce rate. So how do you get this prospect again to visit your webpage. Do you have a magic crystal ball, can you reach inside of your computer or better yet you can retarget that prospect and follow their every move without even breaking a sweat.

So how can you do this? Is their even a way to do this? Come’on. Yes.

Did you know that 98% of visitors leave a website the first time without making a sale. Retargeting averages about 2x the CTR (click through rate).

Here’s how retargeting works:

  • prospect visits website
  • jumps off of website or answers the phone and forgets about where they found that great widget
  • while prospect is browsing the web your ads will follow them using various ad networks like Google, Adbrite, Yahoo, etc. (this is when those cookies that we all heard of comes to use)
  • ads follows prospect to see for brand awareness and recognition of your ad and clicks on it again to make a sale

Now that your pay per click advertising campaign is really taking off but losing sales gain back those sales. Or you can just use the retargeting marketing method if you drive a lot of traffic to your website but can’t close the sale on the first try now you have a second chance.

Posted: June 28th, 2011 | Author: | Filed under: advertising, marketing, social media | Tags: , | Comments Off

Now by using your smart side of your brain you can get more “Likes” and “Fans” by using a “like” gate. So what is a “like”gate. A “like” gate is a feature where you hide a promotion, contest, coupon, pricing or any other valuable content.

So if you are into having a lot of fans and “likes” you can make someone definitely “like” you before entering your site but it is just as easy to “unlike” you. So put something interesting behind your “like” gate that is of value.

“Like” gating has become a popular marketing tool for businesses. Organizations ranging from small business, corporate, retail have used it. Once a user “Likes” a page, the page owner can publish about anything.

Facebook offers “like” gates as a free tool under tools. Just do a search for “like” gate and you’re on your way.

Bottom-line:

Use “like” gates to create promotions and contests on your Facebook page to increase value, trust, loyalty and fan base.

What is a QR Code and do you need it?

Posted: June 17th, 2011 | Author: | Filed under: advertising, marketing, marketing tips | Tags: , , | Comments Off

By now you heard of QR code (Quick Response) they been around for a little while originated in Japan and can be scanned by your cell phone. They have QR generators available on the web for free. A QR code is like a traditional bar code it reads the information inside the code and gives you much more information like including url links, geo coordinates, and text in a nice and compact square image that can be read by your cell phone by downloading an app for free. This is a great use for advertising, marketing and promotional purposes.

Now like some many business trying to cram in as much information on a advertising pieces they can use the QR code image to take them directly to what they need via the web.

  • Product details
  • Contact details
  • Offer details
  • Event details
  • Competition details
  • A coupon
  • Social media
  • Resume video

QR codes are great for about anything that you can imagine and will show you how savvy you can be to your clients and customers.

Now try it for yourself. Search for a QR code free app, download it on your cell / mobile phone and hold it up to the screen and see the message. AWESOME!!!

Google +1 what is in it for you and get it now

Posted: June 6th, 2011 | Author: | Filed under: social media | Tags: , | Comments Off

The announcement of Google +1 button is officially out. Google is now in the social media game and for us is another widget to implement on our websites but before we do that do we know why we must do it as a business. The Google +1 button is the same attempt as the Facebook “Like” button that Google missed the boat on.

The Google +1 is highly recommended to use and integrate into your website from a social media stand point. Like anything else when it is used and clicked on it gives you high quality links for your website. The more people who click on it the more exposure your website will get for organic search results.

The bottom line is that the online Gods has spoken and you must do it and play along with the rest of us to get social media and viral marketing exposure. Why else will you do it?

You can find the Google +1 button for your website here http://www.google.com/+1/button

Print Ad Design From Concept to Final Execution

Posted: March 24th, 2011 | Author: | Filed under: ad, advertisements, print ad design, print design | Tags: , | Comments Off

We had the pleasure to design a print ad for one of our clients’ Smoke Break. This print ad design was heading to a reputable business news publication so we put on our corporate thinking hats. They gave us a print ad design sample that a previous design agency did and we don’t know how design agencies can show this to a client. We don’t know if the client went on the cheap or didn’t do their homework but they were glad that they found HFB Advertising Design to help.

We promised the client that they won’t have the same problem with our print ad design. In fact everyday we put our reputation out there and more and more non-believers converted to believers about our ability and design expertise. Below are examples of the concepts and final execution of the print ad design delivered and loved.

Take a look below at the before and after.
