If you are just using pay per click advertising for your marketing efforts than you are not fully utilizing your internet marketing strategies. You know as well as we do that when a prospect visitor uses the internet to browse through 100′s of compelling ads and clicks 10 ads to do research.

Now that prospect is on your website browsed a couple of pages than exits or worse jumps on the landing page and jumps off to add to your ridiculously high bounce rate. So how do you get this prospect again to visit your webpage. Do you have a magic crystal ball, can you reach inside of your computer or better yet you can retarget that prospect and follow their every move without even breaking a sweat.

So how can you do this? Is their even a way to do this? Come’on. Yes.

Did you know that 98% of visitors leave a website the first time without making a sale. Retargeting averages about 2x the CTR (click through rate).

Here’s how retargeting works:

  • prospect visits website
  • jumps off of website or answers the phone and forgets about where they found that great widget
  • while prospect is browsing the web your ads will follow them using various ad networks like Google, Adbrite, Yahoo, etc. (this is when those cookies that we all heard of comes to use)
  • ads follows prospect to see for brand awareness and recognition of your ad and clicks on it again to make a sale

Now that your pay per click advertising campaign is really taking off but losing sales gain back those sales. Or you can just use the retargeting marketing method if you drive a lot of traffic to your website but can’t close the sale on the first try now you have a second chance.
